This Bible is great! Perfect for putting in my backpack or reading it in bed with one hand (like holding a novel). The cover has a really nice feel, and for the price, I'm impressed. Please see attached photos. They are much more true to the real color of the faux leather than the official item photo - it's more on the pinkish/cherrywood color than their photo which shows it more as a brown.The print is very small, so be aware of this. I mean, it has to be in order to fit the whole Bible into a compact form. The pages are thicker than I expected - I use a gel-ink pen to underline and write in margins. You can still see it through the page, but not as bad as I thought (see photos).
As far as the ESV translation goes, I love it. It reads smoothly in our modern English language, while preserving the accuracy of God's word.

Good Bible, just beware of what you are getting, The print is REALLY small and I find it quite difficult to read. But the Bible itself is really small so that's to be expected, but you might not realize that when purchasing online. It serves a good purpose for travel, but I'd purchase something a little larger for keeping on the nightstand or something of that nature.
I recently added “The Holy Bible – ESV” to my growing library of Bibles. The English Standard Version (ESV) has rapidly become my favorite Bible for reading and studying. I especially like it because it is a modern English translation that maintains its roots in the older Revised Standard Version (RSV) upon which it is based. I also like the fact that the ESV has a definite “functional equivalent” translation philosophy (which simply means it is an “essentially literal” (word-for-word) rendering of the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts into modern English.)
This ebook edition of the ESV Bible has everything I want. The language is glorious to read. The modern English is easy to understand, but it still retains much of the majestic “flavor” and “feel” of both the King James and Revised Standard Versions. There are plenty of helps available in the form of explanatory notes and cross-references, all easily accessed through hyperlinks. This allows me to read passages without distraction or interruption, unless I need to refer to the notes.
“The Holy Bible – ESV” Edition is very easy to navigate. With a couple mouse clicks or touches of my device’s screen, I can access a very good drop-down menu that takes me immediately to any book I choose. (I can’t navigate to verse level, however.) I use the Bookerly font, which I find easiest on my 60-plus year-old eyes. I can adjust font size and style in the same manner as other books. Of course, I can read my Bible on any -compatible device, including my laptop PC, Android tablets, and my smartphone.
Highly recommended.
Great size. Good quality. Gift for my husband and he loves it. The price wasn't bad either as usually these are being sold at prices that remind me of why Jesus was turning over tables.
The Good
1. It's stylish
2. Feels pretty premium in the hand
3. ESV translation is very easy to understand
4. Very easy to handle, it's actually about the height of a high end smartphone
5. Very inexpensive
The Bad
1. Does not have a marker ribbon
2. Jesus' words are not in red
3. Text is very small, between a 6-7 point font but is pretty standard sized for compact bibles.
4. The pages are very thin so text from previous pages can be seen. It's creates kind of a ghosting effect.
Overall, this is a great bible. It didn't have all the things I wish it had, but for $10, it's definitely worth it.
I knew exactly what I wanted in this Bible purchase. Although I didn't get all the features I wanted, it was the only ESV Bible I could find anywhere that met most of the requirements.
I'll lay out what I wanted and then indicate with a yes or no whether this bible fit the bill.

Large font - No (it's only a 7, I should have held out for the large print version coming out in March)

Ribbon marker -Yes (although I would have liked to have 4 ribbons instead of just one)

Attractive Cover - Yes (I am very pleased with the appearance, it's nicer than the photo portrays)
Lies virtually flat when open - Yes (even from the very first time I opened it)
Hardcover - No (I had wanted a hardcover, but none I found had enough of the features I wanted. However, after receiving this one I am very happy with the soft cover and am glad I did go with a hardcover. This one feels nice in your hands and lays nicely in your lap when curled up on the sofa.)
Sturdy binding - Maybe (It seems pretty secure and I can lift it by just the cover without worry. I don't know how it would hold up over time if toted around. I plan to keep this one at home for personal study time.)
Given all of the above, I am very happy. Although, as previously mentioned, I really should have waited for the large print version of this very same bible to be released in March. The font is very small and a bit difficult to read with my over 40 eyes. If you need a larger font and can wait 2 months, I strongly recommend that. If small font doesn't bother you, buy it today.
I deducted one star because there is a section of about 50 pages that had been obviously folded over during the binding process. They were unfolded and laid back flat prior to it being packed (probably by someone on a quality control line). This is all fine and it isn't anything that I would have returned the book over.
