The only suggestion I would make is to include more pictures for the visual learners but even as it, it's a wonderful book for anyone looking to pick up jewelry making as a hobbit or business.

Silver Jewerly Making An Easy and Complete Step By Step Guide is a really comprehensive guide geared toward beginners. The book starts with the tools and materials necessary for making jewelry. The author goes over different types of wire, findings and clasps explaining the usefulness of each one. There are guides for melting, soldering and casting silver that are very thorough along with some photographs to guide you in the tasks. The final chapter contains six beautiful jewelry projects you can try, and each one has a complete list of what you need as well as step by step directions that are very well written and easy to understand. The author really stresses safety which is nice! This was more than enough information for me as I just wanted knowledge about tools, wire, findings and clasps and how to use them correctly. I got a lot of knowledge from this book, and I highly recommend it if you're a beginner wanting to learn jewelry making techniques.

~ Thorough. Goes through the whole process of silver jewelry making from gathering supplies, to techniques, to practice projects. It's set up similarly to a cookbook the beginning sections introduces materials, tools, and techniques needed before beginning.
A handy intermediate section, called "Some Projects To Try Out", gives the reader an opportunity to practice the new techniques learned.
The final sections contain larger projects, like earrings, necklaces, and a ring. Each project begins with a list of materials and tools needed, and then guides you step-by-step through the creation process.

~ There are no pictures, which surprised me. They would have been very helpful to look at while going through some of the projects.

I believe strongly that the info in the good may be dangerous. Page 20 suggests melting silver in a crucible & placing it in a kiln, then removing with tongs! Pg. 21 suggests melting silver in a crucible with a torch you "hire" (should be rent), putting on a welding mask, thick gloves, and an apron! Then light the torch? Really? And you are holding the torch with thick gloves--extremely dangerous.
This is a small book of 47 pages without pictures. In the web description, it says to check out a silversmithing class which I highly recommend. The book tells you things in bits and pieces. I have taken classes and garnered a few prizes at my local fair for jewelry making, and this book will not get you where you want to be. It indicates it is an "Easy & Complete Step by Step Guide" but it isn't. You need some pictures or visual aids. Yes, you can learn on your own, but has many jewelry technique books. And also check out "Lapidary Journal" as a place to start. Check out jewelry classes in a college or other organization. This looks like a self-published book and contains many errors. Any time you refer to making jewelry with molten metal and a torch, you need to be very specific regarding safety and the steps needed.
